Blessed and Grateful

You have played an important part in making our furlough a time of blessing! From the time our feet hit U.S. soil on October 27, we have enjoyed reconnecting and recharging with friends and family!   Thank you so much for taking the time to talk with us, meet with us, spend time with us, listen to us, pray with us, eat with us, care for us, and love us. We have not seen everyone that we had hoped to, and we’ve spent far too little time with those we did, but we are so grateful for the path God prepared for us during this visit home. Every conversation was a highlight, every hug was a warm gift, every meeting brought a flood of emotion of memories of the past, appreciation for the present, and a hope for the future.

Folks sometimes ask us what we need the most, and our answer is, “you”! It’s our relationship with you, and God, that strengthens and encourages us. Please continue to pray for us, and to read our blog updates. And please feel free to share your personal and small group updates with us by clicking on the Prayer Request button at the top of this page. Whatever you write there will come to us in a private message. Our lives are richer and our hearts more full from the sharing of your lives and stories with us. May God bless you, as you have been a blessing to us! Thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ here in the U.S. and encouraging us to do the same in Kenya. We have seen the face of Jesus in each of you during our visit.

One outstanding example of a selfless missionary serving here in the U.S. is our friend Owen, shown here preparing a great dinner for us! Thanks, Owen!

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45
